Akihabara Denno Gumi PataPi! is the manga tied
to the TV series. But actually it was out before the anime: the first chapter
was published in 1998 on Nakayoshi, a monthly manga magazine mainly dedicated
to shojo manga, by Kodansha, and all the episodes have been collected into a
single volume released in March 1999 with the price of 550 yens. The story and the
artworks were created by Tsukasa Kotobuki, who also did the original character
designs for the anime. The actual artwork is identical to the anime designs, except for some minor changes.
Even if it looks excessively "deformed" at times, its quality is good, nonetheless.
